Starter Mix

When it comes to germinating seeds, it’s simple – all you need is water, light and Black Gold Seedling Mix. This blend of double-screened Canadian sphagnum peat moss and fine perlite gives new plants the aeration and moisture retention they need for strong development. A wetting agent ensures rapid water penetration and the fine soil encourages high germination and easy transplanting. OMRI Listed for use in organic production.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Use in flats, pots and plug trays.

Step 1: Ready to use straight from the bag. There is NO need to add other ingredients.

Step 2: Fill seed starting containers loosely with Black Gold. Plant seeds according to the directions on each seed packet.

Step 3: Label with seed name and date.

Step 4: Water gently using a mist sprayer or by placing the container in a tray of water until moisture can be seen at the top surface of the mix. Remove container from tray.

Step 5: Place in lighting conditions as recommended on the seed package.

Step 6: For cuttings, dip in rooting powder if desired. Fill a clean container with Seedling Mix. Gently push cuttings into the media. Mist frequently until roots begin to develop, or surround container with clear plastic to maintain adequate levels of light and moisture.
