Pansy
Heirloom pansies are truly historic and extremely beautiful. Their round-faced blossoms are often the garden’s first seen flowers. They like cool weather – in warmer zones, start them in late summer for autumn blooms – and will tolerate some shade. Plant these low-growers under tall growing, late-blooming plants to get a jump on summer color.
