Bachelor's Button

A popular, hardy annual that does well in most zones, heirloom bachelor button looks good behind borders – they’ll grow to well over a foot tall — in arrangements, and, of course, worn as boutonnieres! Their frilly, 1-1/2 inch blossoms, showing in pale blues, purples, pinks, and blush reds, are often framed in cream. If treated right, they’ll self sow (be sure to mulch starting in the fall).
