Planting and Growing Tips:
Hardy annuals flourish in areas with full sun and moist, well-drained soil. Direct sow outdoors 1/2 inch deep after the last frost of spring and keep moist while germinating. Seeds can be slightly chipped and soaked for better results. Thin seedlings 4- to 6-inches apart and provide support so plants can climb.
Common insect pests attacking plants include leafminer and aphids. Watch closely and apply organic pesticides, if necessary.
