People and pet safe! Dr. Earth Compost Starter (Organic 22) is a premium blend of organic materials that actually inoculates the compost pile with necessary microorganisms needed to digest the raw organic material.

Dr. Earth’s formula goes to work quickly, and does a thorough job digesting organic material for a great finished product. It is suitable for composting leaves, straw, manures, grass clippings, food scraps and other organic matter. An excellent product which creates true humus.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
To build a compost pile approximately 1 cubic yard (3′ x 3′ x 3′) in size, start by designating an area approximately 5′ x 5′ in size.

Place thick coarse carbon “brown” materials (straw, leaves, sawdust, newspaper, etc.) on the bottom (approximately 6 to 8″ thick). This will help to facilitate air circulation and water drainage.

Then add nitrogen “green” materials (grass clippings, vegetable scraps, garden waste, etc) on top of the brown layer approximately 3 to 4″ per layer.

Apply Dr. Earth Premium Compost Starter in a thin layer (approximately 1/2 to 1 cup) on top of the green layer. Alternate layers back and forth, wet on dry, green on brown and Dr. Earth® in between until the pile is complete.

Ingredients: Alfalfa meal, seaweed extract and beneficial soil microbes.
