Wormwood

Out of stock

Don’t judge an herb by its name! Wormwood (Artemisia absinthium) is very fragrant, and a perfect choice for those looking for unique foliage in the garden. The grey-green feathery leaves grow on plants 2-4 feet tall and are known for repelling insects. Handles low-water environments (xeriscape, drought-prone) very well. Perennial for zones 3-8.

Note: Can not be shipped toย North Dakota,ย South Dakota or Washington state.

Each packet contains approximately 250 seeds.

Planting and Harvesting Tips:
This hardy perennial shrub grows well in full sun and requires little water once established. Sow indoors under lights several weeks before the last frost date in spring. Lightly cover and keep trays warm. Seedlings can be moved outside in the garden after the last frost has passed. Space 12- to 24-inches apart in all direction.

Harvest stems and blossoms in late summer using garden snips. Do NOT cut off more than 1/3 of the stems at any one time. To dry, cut the stems while in full flower and hang upside down in small bunches. Use in sachets, herbal extracts or floral arrangements.
