Out of stock

Also known as midnight candy, Night Phlox (Zaluzianskya capensis) blooms in the evening releasing a delicious, honey-like fragrance. Compact plants grow 12- to 14-inches tall and are best planted near a deck or patio where their wonderful scent can be enjoyed. Grows well in pots too! (Annual)

Each packet contains approximately 100 seeds.

Planting and Growing Tips:
Native to South Africa, this easy to grow nocturnal bloomer thrives in open sunny spots with moist, well-drained soil. Sow indoors under lights 3- to 4-weeks before the last frost of spring or direct sow outdoors — just below the surface — after temperatures have warmed. Thin seedlings 12- to 18-inches apart and mulch to prevent weeds, improve aesthetics and conserve moisture.

Once established, plants are very hardy and will do well in many conditions. Deadhead or pinch off spent blossoms on a regular basis to extend the blooming period. After a killing frost, remove plants and add to the compost pile.
