For fruit trees, shade trees, vines and more! Tree Tanglefoot is effective against crawling insects who must reach the tops of trees in order to feed, mate or deposit eggs. Such insects include cankerworms, gypsy moth, army and tent caterpillars, ants, pecan weevils, tussock moths and climbing cutworms.
Provides the perfect solution to protecting your valuable trees and reducing future pest populations. As the insects climb up over the sticky barrier, they become trapped without escape. Best of all, the action is strictly mechanical — NO pesticides or harmful chemicals are involved. OMRI Listed for use in organic production.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Fasten a 3 to 4 inch wide band of waterproof paper or similar wrapping material around trunk of tree. Make certain that all crevices beneath the band are blocked. Apply non-drying Tanglefoot with a putty knife or disposable paddle over the wrapping material. Use mineral spirits to clean hands and tools after application.
