CocoTek Mats

Ideal for growing hydroponic wheatgrass! Made from natural coconut fibers and bound by an organic latex, CocoTek Grow Mats fit inside seed flats and other containers. Provides support for plant roots that grow through and under the media where moisture remains between waterings. This high quality, low sodium, growing media is an environmentally friendly alternative to sphagnum peat moss. May be cut to fit ANY container. Mats are not reusable.

WHEATGRASS GROWING INSTRUCTIONS:

Step 1: Soak and rinse coconut fiber prior to use.

Step 2: Place Cocotek Mat inside tray and cover with ONE cup of Azomite to add minerals and trace elements.

Step 3: Spread presoaked wheatgrass seed evenly over the top of each mat, keeping seed to a thick, single layer.

Step 4: Cover trays with several layers of damp paper towel or newspaper for THREE days. The paper must remain moist during this time.

Step 5: Remove paper and place tray in a sunny area. Keep the media moist, but do NOT overwater.

Step 6: Harvest wheatgrass when it is 8-inches long (about 1 week). Cut 1 to 2 inches from the base to allow for additional cuttings. Use a hand juicer or slow RPM juicer to extract juice.
