AlgaeFix (Algaecide)

For Ponds Containing Live Plants and Fish. The pond owner's number one problem is green water caused by single-cell algae, blanketweed and string algae. Previously, all algaecides were non-selective and killed or damaged all plants in the pond along with the algae. AlgaeFix is an effective, EPA registered selective algae-control product that solves algae problems. Because of its unique formula, AlgaeFix can be used in ponds with live fish.

Directions for Use:
It is a violation of federal law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling.

Add 1 teaspoon for every 50 gallons of pond/fountain water. Thoroughly mix into pond/fountain by adding near the pump outflow, waterfall, or aeration device. Pond Care AlgaeFix can be mixed in a bucket of pond/fountain water and evenly distributed around the water. Repeat dose every three days until algae is controlled. Be prepared to siphon out dead filamentous algae. Once algae growth is under control, add one dose every 5 days. Weekly doses will control algal growth and reduce pond/fountain maintenance. Caution: Do not use with crustaceans, including; crabs, shrimp, freshwater shrimp and freshwater lobsters.

WARM WEATHER CAUTION: Before using, make certain that the pond has vigorous aeration - i.e., a fountain, waterfall, or aeration device to avoid fish loss due to low oxygen levels. When algae is removed by the filter or settles to the bottom of the pond/fountain, the oxygen level may drop to a harmful level if adequate aeration is not provided. Therefore, when using during warm summer months, adequate aeration is required. Do not shut pond pumps and aeration devices off at night.

Compatibility:
Can be used in ponds with live plants. Do not use with crustaceans, including crabs, shrimp and freshwater lobsters.

For ornamental pond use only where all water is contained without any outflow.
