Starter Fertilizer

Ideal for seedlings and repotting established container plantings. Peace of Mind Starter Fertilizer (3-4-3) is high in phosphorus which encourages healthy root development. Contains calcium which buffers acidic soils and boosts the plant's ability to fight off disease. Include mycorrhizae and humic acid.

Directions for Use:

New Container Plants: Add 2 Tbsp. per gallon of soil. Fill container with mixture and set plant at appropriate height. Tamp soil gently to secure plant and water thoroughly.

New In-Ground Plantings: Add 1-2 Tbsp. per gallon of soil. Place plant into ground at appropriate depth. Tamp soil gently to secure plant and water thoroughly.

New Row Plantings: Mix 1 cup per 10 square feet of planting area. Till to a depth of 8 - 12". Place plants into ground at appropriate depth. Tamp soil gently to secure plant and water thoroughly.

Garden Tips:

For successful transplanting of young plants, hold gently to avoid crushing the stem and damaging delicate roots. Once transplanted, make sure to keep the soil moist. Foliar feeding can be beneficial to seedlings and gives them a jump start in becoming vigorous plants.

Note: Full sun exposure is best. If plants do not receive enough light, they can become spindly, lanky, and susceptible to disease. Early spring plantings that are subjected to frost should be protected with a plastic cold frame cover.

Ingredients: Feather Meal, Bone Meal, Hydrolyzed Fish, Fish Meal, Fish Bone Meal, Alfalfa Meal, Sulfate of Potash Magnesia, Blood Meal, Bat Guano, Rock Phosphate, Kelp Meal, and Gypsum.
