An amazing looking melon! The fruit is a vibrant yellow with brilliant fire-red stripes (a few melons may be solid yellow), simply beautiful! Very fragrant with a rich, sweet intoxicating aroma that will fill an entire room.
The white flesh gets sweeter in dry climates and is very mild tasting. Small in size, Tigger Melons weigh up to 1 pound. Vigorous plants produce heavy yields. (90 days)
Melons need fertile soil and abundant heat to reach perfection. Sow in place about two weeks after last frost. Plant seed about one inch deep, 12 inches apart, in rows 5 feet apart. May also plant in hills, 4 to 5 seeds per hill, with hills about 5 feet apart.
In short-season climates, grow transplants indoors, starting 1 week before last frost date and set out about 2 to 3 weeks after sowing; never let transplants become root-bound in their container.
