Planting and Harvesting Tips:
Crops thrive in cool, moist soils with plenty of organic matter. Start indoors up to 8 weeks before the last frost and set out when the garden begins to warm. Place seedlings 8 inches apart in rows 2 feet apart. Mulch heavily to prevent moisture loss.
Begin harvesting when the stalks are large enough to use all the way up to the first frost. Cut individual stalks as needed from the outside in, or cut the root of the plant just below the crown.
