Hey, I got Semaspore to try and control the grasshoppers on our mountain. They are in the woods and in the open areas and have gotten really bad in the last four years. However, I never really saw them before then. They are small when mature, maybe 1 to 1-1/2 inches at maturity. Right now there are millions (probably literally) of little 1/4 inch babies. It seems like they’re eating stuff already, so is it a good time? The package says 1/2-3/4 inch size is ideal, but I don’t know if that’s for larger growing species.

    Michael –

Now is a good time! If possible, we recommend making several applications a few days apart rather than one big application.
