  • Mosquito larvae in a hydroponic setup

    Created by mordisco on

I have recently begun an organic hydroponic garden and my problem is mosquito larvae in the water. Are those “mosquito dunks” which are based on a bacteria considered organic? The tank and tray are both black and the tank is covered. Do I need more aeration?

Mosquito Dunks will work well. The active ingredient — Bt-i — is specific to mosquito and black fly larvae and will not harm people, pets or the environment. However, the manufacturer has not registered their product with any of the organic certifying agencies.
