    I live in California, the Los Angeles County area. For the fly parasite, what is the best time to release them? Thank you!

    Kristy –

    Fly Parasites should be released whenever pest flies are present at the following rates:

    โ€ข large animals (horse, cow, etc.) โ€“ 500 parasites per animal
    โ€ข medium animals (sheep, goat, etc.) โ€“ 250 parasites per animal
    โ€ข small animals (birds, rabbits, etc.) โ€“ 5 parasites per animal
    โ€ข manure/compost piles โ€“ 5 parasites per cubic foot

    For best results, start releasing before flies become a problem!
