I am trying to grow an organic gardening in my back yard, and also I am interested in learning hydroponics. My question is this; In hydroponic gardening, can it be done organically, or is the food source for the plants inorganic? I would be interested in finding out since organic gardening is centered so much on creating the soil naturally, but there is no soil in hydroponics. Thanks if anyone can give me insight into this.

    Hello –

Hydroponics gardening can be done organically! In fact, the USDAโ€™s National Organic Program (NOP) allows it and there are entire nutrient lines developed specifically for this purpose. Here’s a link.

    Happy growing!
