Can a 15-gallon Smart Potย with handles, planted with a mature shrub, be moved? Or will the flexing of the bag damage the roots? Thanks.

    Hi Jim –

Depends upon the shrub! Some plants don’t mind root disturbance, whilst others may not necessarily enjoy the ride, and others may be stunted. Are you asking about grow bags (Black plastic trash-bag like material) or smart pots (fabric pots)? I would be more concerned about a grow bag ripping or tearing. Smart pots should hold up relatively well and will be a bit more tear resistant. If you do have to move your plants, minimal impact should be used, I would highly recommend investing in some plant rollers!
