    Should old rose bushes be replaced after a few years with fresh stock? Advice please / any sugestions?– old bushes very old – were in a previous house and I have been advised to dig up and replace

    Yes. It should be replaced with fresh ones, Once the leaves have dropped, they are gone for the season. But if the old rose plant is still in good condition and is flowering you should stick with them.
