Hi there, I have a problem with what I believe are fungus gnats in my outdoor container garden. The affected plants are young herb plants (basil, chives, rosemary) between 1 and 2.5 inches tall at this point. I found Gnat Nix on your website, and I just want to be sure that it’s safe to use this product on plants we plan to eat. If not, do you have any other recommendations?

Also, out of curiosity, I just bought some jalapeno plants–do these gnats jump from plant to plant? I’d like to protect the new plants. How far away should I keep the new plants that aren’t infested? Thanks for any advice!

    Liz –

Yes, Gnat Nix is safe for you and your plants — it is a non-toxic product! I have attached a link to our fungus gnat control page.
