  • Using Trichogramma and DE for Clothes Moth

    Created by Deborah on

Hi, I have released the wasps on the clothes eggs moths. Meanwhile, I have read that diatomaceous earth (DE) is effective on clothes moth larvae. Should I hold off on the DE treatment until 2x-3x rounds of the wasps (Trichogramma) are launched?

Reason is, I of course don’t want to have the DE kill or impair the beneficial wasps. Thanks for your advice.

    Deborah –

I think you could use the two products together for an integrated approach to clothes moth control. DE works on pests that crawl through it by cutting them up — it is composed of one celled shells that are abrasive to them. I don’t think the wasps will come in contact with it.

    Hope this helps!
