  • Certified Organic Seed Starter Fertilizer

    Created by Brandon Pollet on

I am looking for a certified organic liquid fertilizer that would be good for starting seeds in a vermiculite / coconut coir mix for aquaponic production.

    Hey Brandon!

Traditionally, aquaponic systems are recirculating; I am not sure how you would accomplish this by using those mediums. This aside, aquaponics nutrients are derived from fish waste. This means ideally, you shouldn’t have to add any nutrients for your plants. However, if you find your plants are lagging you may add some liquid kelp fertilizer. This should be safe for your fish while still feeding your plants.

    Hope this helps!
