How long can a bio bag protect my canister before it starts to break down. I usually empty mine about every other week, sometimes longer, and sometimes it’s rather messy from bananas and the sort, and I have to wash out the mess in the kitchen sink, and then start with a clean canister. The bags seem to be rather nice, but if they biodegrade rather fast, it would be of no use to me.

    Suzanne –

The same microorganisms that โ€œeatโ€ the organic materials in your compost also โ€œeatโ€ the BioBag, so we recommend changing thems every 3-4 days, depending on the content and also the bin you are using. Wet, hot scraps will affect the bags integrity quicker.
