  • Do beneficial nematodes propagate?

    Created by Al Handrow on

I am going to purchase nematodes in the very near future. Do they propagate themselves and spread out? And will spined soldier bugs be available this year? Thanks Al Handrow Spicyals Hot Pepper Ranch.

    Hello Al –

Nematodes will persist in the soil and multiply once they are released. However, they typically do not keep up with the reproduction rates of most insect pests and will need to be released periodically for effective control. Right now, it does not look like the Spined Soldier Bug will be commercially available.

    Thank you!
