Pure magic in Asian and Thai cooking! Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) stalks are abundant, growing to 4 feet tall, so there’s no shortage for your summer curries and stir fries. Plant this perennial in a border or along an edge for beautiful ornamental lines.
Each packet contains approximately 60 seeds.
Planting and Harvesting Tips:
This perennial grass must be grown in warm climates or inside in pots to protect from cold. Start seedlings indoors and move outside after all danger of frost has passed. Plants grow best in full sun and moist rich soil.
Begin harvests 75-100 days after planting. Look for outer stalks that are at least 1/2 inch thick and cut with a sharp knife at the soil line, just below the swollen ends. Harvest as needed, keeping in mind that the edible portion of this crop is located at the bottom of the stalk.
