Hello Jon,

We can most likely help your friend with any questions he may have. Although our hydroponic section is geared more towards ebb & flow and well as continuous flow systems, our staff may still assist you in questions you have about setup and nutrients.

Heat is a big factor when doing aeroponics. Some get around this issue by using foggers (technically called fogponics), others have larger water reserves and use the water itself as a heat sink.

Whenever someone is getting into hydroponics, I always recommend growing peppers. They are hardy plants, are not photo dependent for fruit production, and can bounce back well from grower error. Other good options are herbs like basil, lemon balm, mint, or plants that have low profiles.
