Apples are perfectly fine to put in a compost pile or bin. Composting produces high temperatures which will exceed the acceptable range for the worms, thus killing the pest. Make sure to turn your pile often and keep it moist to ensure this process. I’ve included a link to a page that will help with what to use… or not!
