Used in this country since the late 1880's beneficial insects are the best known form of biological pest control. They provide long-term control, helping to tip the scales in your favor when "bad bugs" arrive. Beneficials attack and destroy only insects; they are harmless to people, plants and pets.
For best results, make releases when pest levels are low to medium. If populations are high, use a least-toxic, short-lived natural pesticide (Insecticidal Soaps - Horticultural Oils, Botanical Insecticides) to establish control, then release predators/parasites to maintain control.
