UVONAIR Ozone by Corona Discharge

In-Duct Ozone System
Installation considerations:
Please read all instructions prior to installation.
1. Uvonair CD ozone generators are engineered to treat odors in ventilation ducts as air is being exhausted. Model CD 800 is for installation into 8” (20 cm) ducts. Both model CD-1000s are for 10” (25 cm) ducts. Model CD-1200 is for 12” (30 cm) ducts. Duct adapters may be used for installation into other size ducts. Installing the smaller unit into larger ducts may restrict airflow.
2. Under most circumstances Model CD-800 and CD-1000-1 will treat all odors being exhausted from rooms up to 20,000 cu. ft. (600 m3). Model CD-1000-2 will treat all odors being exhausted from rooms up to 40,000 cu. ft. (1200 m3).
3. Model CD-1200, with its significantly higher output, will treat all odors being exhausted from rooms up to 100,000 cu. ft. (3000 m3). For extreme odors, it is better to use the higher output unit.
4. Position the Uvonair generator if possible a minimum of 15 ft. (5 m) from the end of the exhaust duct to ensure adequate reaction time with odors. We recommend a minimum of 15 ft. (5m) of ductwork.
5. When using a fan, always put the ozonator on the output side of the fan.
Electrical requirements:
Install in accordance to local electrical standards. Provide 110V 60Hz electrical power to the Uvonair CD ozone generator synchronized with the ventilation fan. As a safety feature, Uvonair CD unit must be working in tandem with the ventilation exhaust fan. Uvonair CD is equipped with a 6 ft. (2 m) cord with a grounded three-prong plug and a surge protection fuse.
Installation:
1. Attach the two supplied support brackets to the top of the unit using the four screws already set in place.
2. Turn off the ventilation fan and ensure the Uvonair unit is not plugged in.
3. For installation into metal duct:
a) It will be necessary to remove an approximate 11.5" (29 cm) section of duct where the unit is to be installed. Consult a ventilation professional for the specific length as this may vary depending on the existing duct setup and its ability to adjust for the insertion of the Uvonair CD generator.
b) Support the weight of the unit with duct-hanging wire from the support bracket to a hook or nail on the joists above. Make final adjustment after final installation.
c) Insert the unit into the existing ducts up to mounting ridges and make it airtight using duct tape or clamps.
For installation using flex duct as an option:
a) Remove a 36”(91cm) section of duct.
b) Cut two 17”(43cm) pieces of flex 8” (20cm) diameter duct.
c) Attach to each side of the Uvonair generator and then secure to the ductwork making it airtight with duct tape or clamps
Operations:
Both Uvonair CD models have High and Low output settings so you can adjust to the odor level. Model CD-1200 will produce very high levels of ozone at its high setting. Determine the ozone level required by monitoring the exhaust air for odors. Levels may vary throughout the growing cycle. No maintenance is required of these units.
Warranty & Repair Policy:
Uvonair CD units are warranted for one year from the time of purchase against any defects in material and manufacturing. It is warranted only for the application described. Keep your purchase receipt for warranty claim.
• Call the manufacturer at 1 800 765 2098 for the RGA# (Returned Goods Authorization Number) and shipping instructions.
• Shipments must be prepaid and accompanied with the RGA#.
• Products qualifying for warranty will be repaired at no charge and shipped back prepaid within 24 hours of receipt.
Warning: Recommended for commercial use. Ozone, in concentrations above .05 PPM, may be injurious to health. Ozone has a half-life of ~ 30 minutes, therefore it will dissipate and not accumulate.
