What separates Dark Energy from the other nutrient additives on the market?
Dark Energy does not contain the basic macronutrient of N-P-K, which allows you to use it within many fertilizer programs without the fear of over fertilizing. Dark Energy gives the grower total control over their amino acid use. Dark Energy is l-amino based, allowing you to add other additives (such as kelp or humates) at your own discretion. When a product has many different ingredients it is difficult to add enough of the key compounds without over saturating the fertilizer solution.
What is the N-P-K of Dark Energy?
The N-P-K of Dark Energy is 2-0-0.
How does Dark Energy work?
Plants respond to the amino acids ability to reduce stress and improve vigor as well as the properties of chelating certain minerals. The ability to chelate minerals will allow the plant tissue to better absorb nutrients within the fertilizer solution. With the wide array of trace elements within a tank solution, any assistance in helping the plants to absorb the nutrients is a plus. Plants absorb nutrients to convert into energy, amino acids, vitamins, enzymes, etc. By using this unique blend, the plant will reduce the expenditure of energy resulting in quicker and higher quality growth.
Vitamins play a role in triggering various responses within the plant, such as photosynthesis and respiration, as well as assisting in the formation of root hairs.
Why are l-amino acids important?
L-amino acids work as a catalyst to free locked up nutrients and minerals so they may be absorbed more easily by the plant.

Yes, you can mix Dark Energy with other nutrient additives. Other amino acid based products can be a bit of overkill, so keep an eye on what is in your additives. Due to the uniqueness of Dark Energy, we find it will actually help your plant to absorb the benefits of other additives.
What is the dosage rate for Dark Energy?
You can use Dark Energy at the following dosage rate:
Hydroponics Use:
1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water
Soil Use:
1/2 teaspoon per gallon of water
Foliar Spray:
1/4 teaspoon per quart of water
Can Dark Energy be used as a foliar spray?
Dark Energy can be used as a foliar spray, but we recommend not spraying within 3 weeks of harvest.
