Tumbleweed Worm Bin
Turn kitchen scraps into compost! This compact worm bin consists of two sturdy polypropylene boxes nested inside each other measuring 23" L x 10" H x 15" W. The upper box has a perforated floor and a lid, and the lower box is fitted with a drain spout.
The worms eat and breed in the top box and this is where their food is placed. This box has a perforated base so that any liquid waste, or tea, can drain through into the bottom box. Solid waste, or castings, remains in the top box. This makes a good soil conditioner and can be harvested as required.
The bottom box or "catcher box" collects all the valuable liquid waste which is a by product of the worms. This can be used as a fertilizer on your garden by diluting it with equal amounts of water. May be used indoors or out. Instructions provided. Roughly 1,000 Red Wiggler Worms are all that is required to start (two thousand if you want to be up to full capacity in a hurry).
