(Asclepias incarnata) Red Milkweed is the preferred food source of Monarch caterpillars. The bright pink and red flowers bloom June through August. Grows 5' tall on moist soils that dry out in the summer. No butterfly garden is complete without it. Hardy to zone 4. (Perennial)
