Each Halls® Greenhouse has a prefabricated galvanized steel base available as an optional accessory. A firm level base is essential for any building and by using a Halls® Greenhouse Base 5-inches is added to the overall height of the building giving extra headroom. Anchor stakes are provided.

Greenhouse Site Preparation
Very little site prep-work is required. Greenhouses can be placed directly on your lawn, on a gravel base, over a wood deck, on a concrete slab or a brick patio. We recommend a gravel floor for the best drainage. Simply find an area in your yard that gets plenty of sun and level the ground. Place landscape cloth over the area to prevent weeds in your greenhouse while allowing necessary drainage. Pour about 3 inches of a compacted 1/4 inch gravel base on top for added drainage and a sturdy floor.
