 What is Compost Tea?
Compost Tea is an organic, nutritionally rich, highly-concentrated liquid extract made by steeping aged compost in water. The History of Compost Tea
Compost tea has been used for thousands of years. In fact, you can find references to compost tea in writings dating back to the Roman Empire (De Agriculura by Cato).

BEWARE - not all compost teas are the same!
The quality and effectiveness of any compost tea varies greatly depending on several factors, including the quality of the compost and the tea-creating process.
A variety of complicated home recipes and contraptions are available for the home user. However, there are many problems associated with creating compost tea using these methods.
What you should know about home-brewing from home-made compost:
• The quality and nutritional content of the compost used is unknown.

• The process is very messy and time consuming (up to a week).

• The tea may be full of 'solids' and have to be strained to use a foliar spray.
