A classic, dark-green zucchini with tender, creamy-white flesh that freezes well. Grows on vigorous and productive bush plants. (57 days)
Summer Squash is grown for immature fruits which can be harvested all summer long. Heavy feeders, they prefer soil amended with manure or compost.
Sow in place in full sun after last frost; or start a couple weeks earlier indoors — never let transplants become root bound and do not disturb the roots when transplanting. Seeds are sown up to 1 inch deep. Space plants 3 feet apart.
