A beautiful Oriental heirloom, very colorful. Delicious green Shungiku leaves are great in salads and stir-fry. The brilliant yellow flowers are also very tasty! (Annual, up to 4-feet tall)
Each packet contains approximately 125 seeds.
Sow in place from early spring through mid-summer, covering seed no more than 1/4-inch. Succession plant for continued harvest. Full sun and rich, moist, well-drained soil produces the best plants.
Harvest leaves when plants are up to about 1-foot tall or gather new growth from older plants. If allowed to mature, Edible Chrysanthemum plants make very attractive daisy-like flowers, good for cutting. Will occasionally self-sow.
