We highly recommend this early maturing eggplant with good yields. Incredibly delicious with smooth oval-round fruit growing on compact plants. The Applegreen variety was developed by the late Professor Elwyn Meader, UNH 1964. (70 days)
Planting Instructions:
Start seed indoors 8 to 12 weeks prior to the last frost of spring. Surface sow and keep moist until sprouts appear, which can take up to 3 weeks. Transplant into the garden when weather has settled and soil is warm. Provide rich, well composted soil and ample moisture. Space plants 18-inches apart.
Note: Days to maturity are based on transplants, and are approximate. Most species of eggplant are from India or Africa, which indicates these plants prefer heat.
