DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Vegetables, Annuals, Perennials & Bedding Plants
New Plantings: During bed preparation, mix in with your soil amendment, 1 cup Bone Meal per 10 square feet, or 5 cups for every 50 feet of planting row. Till the soil to a depth of 4 to 8 inches and water well.
Established Plants: Side dress anytime during the growing season. Use 1 cup for every 10 square feet of growing area or 5 cups for every 50 feet of row. Work into the soil gently and water well.
New Plantings: When potting plants, mix 2 tablespoons per gallon of potting soil, or add 1/2 cup per 1/2 cubic foot (approx. 5 gallons) of potting soil. Mix the soil and Bone Meal thoroughly for maximum results. Water well.
Established Plants: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons for a 6″ container, or 8 tablespoons for a 12″ container. Scratch into the soil gently, and cover with a thin layer of organic mulch when possible. Water thoroughly.
Trees & Shrubs
New Plantings: Before you plant, add 2 cups per 1/2 cubic foot (approx. 5 gallons) of soil that will be added to the planting hole. Once planting is completed, water thoroughly.
Established Plants: Use 1 cup for every inch of trunk diameter (measured at 4″- 6″ above the soil line). Work into the soil gently, use inside of the drip line. Water thoroughly.
New Plantings: During bed preparation, mix in 1-1/2 cups per 10 square feet of growing area. Mix thoroughly into the soil to a depth of 4 to 6 inches, or as needed depending on the bulb.
Individual Bulb Planting: Once you have dug the planting hole to the correct depth, add 1 Tbsp. Bone Meal to the soil beneath each bulb as you go with growing buds pointing upwards. Cover with soil to the original soil level. Water thoroughly.
Established Bulbs: Sprinkle 1/2 cup for every 10 square feet. For individual bulbs, use 1 Tbsp. in a 3″ to 4″ ring around the plant. Gently mix into the soil surface and water well.
