DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Vegetables, Annuals, Perennials & Bedding Plants
New Plantings: During bed preparation, mix in with your soil amendment, 1 cup Blood Meal per 10 square feet, or 5 cups for every 50 feet of planting row. Till the soil to a depth of 4 to 8 inches and water well.
Established Plants: Side dress anytime during the growing season. Use 1 cup for every 10 square feet of growing area or 5 cups for every 50 feet of garden row. Work into the soil gently and water well.
Potted Plants
New Plantings: When potting plants, mix 2 tablespoons per gallon of potting soil, or add 1/2 cup per 1/2 cubic foot (approx. 5 gallons) of potting soil. Mix the soil and Blood Meal thoroughly for maximum results. Water well.
Established Plants: Sprinkle 2 tablespoons for a 6″ container, or 8 tablespoons for a 12″ container. Scratch into the soil gently, and cover with a thin layer of organic mulch when possible. Water thoroughly.
Trees & Shrubs
New Plantings: Before you plant, add 2 cups Blood Meal per 1/2 cubic foot (approx. 5 gallons) of soil that will be added to the planting hole. Once planting is completed, water thoroughly.
Established Plants: Use 1 cup Dr. Earth for every inch of trunk diameter (measured at 4″- 6″ above the soil line). Work into the soil gently, use inside of the drip line. Water thoroughly.
