  • Worms in raised beds

    Created by nemajordude on

I’m using the Squared Foot Gardening technique, trying to use totally organic methods. I’ve had some decent success and some spectacular failures. I have 6 raised 4×4 raised beds, 6 inches deep. I have landscape fabric under my beds, so no worms would be able to get in or out. I live in Nebraska, where it gets mighty cold in the wintertime. If I purchase the red wigglers and introduce them to my beds, would they survive the cold winters essentially above ground?
