Now that there is a new natural disaster looming: the Emerald Ash Borer, I would like for the discussion on natural controls to get rolling. It would seem that there are a variety of parisitoids that the U.S. Forest Service has been rearing for some time. The goal now would be commercial sources for them and what level of effectiveness can be expected.
I am a firm believer of such types of bio controls as part of an intensive IPM program. Knowing that there are thousands or millions of little bug eaters doing their jobs 24-7, making my job that much easier and more interesting.
